National Repeal Day is a Holiday to be remembered for the triumph of December 5th, 1933, and the long years of the prohibition of alcohol.
In 1919, the 18th amendment on the US Constitution passes, prohibiting the production, transport, and sale of intoxicating liquors illegal. Though it did not outlaw the actual consumption of alcohol….. Hmm.
13-painful-years later, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ends the agony of prohibition with a signature, and the 21st amendment. This holiday is worth the celebration as the repeal of the 18th Amendment is the ONLY national holiday written into our constitution.
Meaning if there is any holiday caused in celebration to drink, this is the one! It’s basically our patriotic duty to celebrate! If you enjoy alcohol, or beer, stop by and let’s celebrate together!
