U.S. Marine Corps 246th Birthday Celebration

HOORAH!!

We are celebrating the 246th United States Marine Corps Birthday on November 10th, 2021! Join us for our 5th Annual Birthday with fellow Marines, Veterans of all services, and their guests!

This year, we honor the legendary Battle of Belleau Wood, fought during WWI in 1918. The Battle of Belleau Wood is known as one of the most important battles in U.S. Marine Corps history. The battlefield lays about five miles west of the town of Château-Thierry, barely fifty miles northeast of Paris, France.

Marines’ earned their semi-official nickname “Devil Dogs” or Teufel Hunden, given to them by the Germans they faced in France. The Germans were in awe of the fierce fighting and aggressive nature of the United States Marine. Belleau Wood has maintained not only a legacy as an iconic battle but also as the first of several learning laboratories for the Marine officers who eventually led their Corps to victory in World War II.

1912 Brewing Company will be featuring three handcrafted, french-inspired beers including ‘Gettin Jiggs With It’ a French Saison, our annual Green Feet Collaboration ‘Brig Bound Biere De Garde’, and ‘Teufel Hunden’ Abbey Ale! Each beer will be paired as part of a French-inspired three-course dinner. Our birthday meal will be brought to us by Marine-Owned, Daniela’s Cooking Food Truck.

A Marine Corps birthday celebration would not be complete without a memento to remember the night. We will be releasing two shirts based upon our newest birthday brews, a bottle release, and a 1912 x USMC Insignia glass.

1-800-273-TALK Suicide Prevention Month

This September we’ve partnered with OHSO Brewery, the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild, and many other breweries in the global collaboration of the “1-800-273-TALK” Suicide Awareness Lifeline brew in honor of #NationalSuicideAwarenessMonth.

We have all been affected by suicide directly or indirectly. At 1912 Brewing Co, we hope by bringing suicide out of the shadows, we can normalize having very difficult conversations about immensely painful feelings, and connect more deeply with one another. Portions of the beer sales will be donated to suicide prevention organizations, but primarily the goal is to spread awareness.

Help us spread awareness, by stopping by 1912 Brewing Co, grabbing a 4-pk, and sharing with a friend. Every brewery participating is putting their own spin on the recipe of a Hazy IPA. This year, we’ve decided to brew an India Pale Lager with Centennial, Columbus, Citra, and Ahtanun hops.

If you are thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend, a loved one, or would like emotional support, we are here to help, talk, and listen.

#BeThe1To Ask, Be There, Keep them Safe, Help them Connect, and Follow up. Call 1-800-273-TALK or visit https://afsp.org for resources and education. You can also Donate to local suicide prevention today by texting “Brew4Hope” to 44321.

Cans coming soon… Stay tuned.
Cheers!
